The Virtual Price type solves the course fees breakdown conundrum.
Last month we had to deal with an issue we have been avoiding successfully for some time. Some RTOs are required to itemise the various expenses in a training course, some times for GST reasons but mostly for compliance reasons. These items of course are called price types. The problem for VETtrak users is that we use the ‘price types’ to provide the various prices we sell training for e.g. the funded price for an unemployed person under 20 years old, fee for service etc.
Enter the Virtual Price Type: Within the website admin we now allow the creation of a “virtual price type” that is in fact the various real line items grouped together. The value of the virtual price type is, of course, the combined value of the real price types.
Now if this sounds like I have had too much coffee then I completely understand however for RTOs in Victoria especially this makes life bearable!
