Wednesday is release day for your JWGecko product set! There are 42 [the magic number] Enhancements, new features and fixes. When you receive our email about the release tomorrow please do a test enrolment on your website that includes the use of any customisation.
Release management and testing:

The High Points:
- LMS meets Forum in VET LMS – Standard: Imagine forums and discussion groups that enhance engagement and reinforce learning in a controlled environment – your LMS: Groups based around student interest – Programme Types & Programmes; Groups for cohorts – Occurrences for course and assignment discussions; Assessable discussions too! Available now as a fee add-on for VET LMS customers.
- VET Campus for Admissions Staff – Add-on: How cool would it be for you admissions staff to be able to handle enrolment face to face or on the phone via VET Campus using the same tested and audited eligibility logic of your online enrolment form, take cash deposits and not use one of your VETtrak user licences – Got that!
- VTG Dual Qual Enrolment – Add-on: A funding levels drop RTOs need to be entrepreneurial in getting the most value for their students and themselves – a Dual Qual enrolment with a fall-back for single Qual if the student is not eligible is now available for Skills Vic contracted RTOs.
- Date of Birth Alert – Config: We have updated the date of birth field so that applicants are alerted immediately if they are too young to complete the training. This addition launches a workflow for parental consent that includes a new “Parent step”, CC notifications and merge field consent form.
- AVETMISS on Check-in – Config: Are you concerned about putting the collection of data before a credit card payment? We are too and so we have added an avetmiss completion step when the student logs on to VET Campus or the LMS for online learning or prerequisites. Audit tools for learning Support Team:
Language checks – When a student records an English level of not well or not at all we are able to alert your learning support team
Disability checks – checks – When a student enters a disability we alert your learning support team
General Special Requirements– When a student adds a comment into the “Special requirements” field an alert is sent to your learning support team
Student declarations and agreements – the date and time of acceptance is recorded in the students notes field and the enrolment description field.
VETtrak Online V4.4
Enhancement
- Improved support for configuring deposits for enrolment
- Improved notifications for scheduled payments
- Can now specify payment options specifically for funded enrolments
- Improved logic around payment method selection for various enrolment scenarios, free, funded etc.
