Invisible women: the dangers of being female in a world designed for men

How about this for gender bias: Women are 70%+ more likely to have a serious injury in a car accident than a male. This is because of the design of seat belts, seating and the driving position … all designed and built for men. Sheesh. And then let’s talk about the corrupt data being used for programming Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to power future generations of automation … Lets put it this way; in this interview on ABC’s RN its explained why if you are pictured standing in front of a stove your gender is set as female. I have three women in my immediate family and run a software business targetted at the female lead (training) sector – I’ll be sure to remember this when I’m doing my R&D from now on. I apologize for my gender.
