Training component changes
Many packages had at least a few significant changes.
Qualification Changes
Again, these was a broad range of qualification updates with a focus on employment and mining/resources: Business (85), Resources (56), Technology (26), Welfare (18), Oil and Gas (17), Agriculture (16), Civil Construction (15), Coal Mining (13), Manufacturing (13), Metalliferous Mining (13), Building (10), Financial Services (10), Health (10). Skill Sets
There were very few skill set updates this month: Forestry(2), Resources (2).
Accredited Courses
We saw a focus on employment and welfare skills again this month: Business (32), Welfare (22), Religion (20), Training (15), Foundation Skills (14), Media (11).
Unit Content
As usual, the inclusion of counts for units moving in and out of qualifications means that unit change volumes follow the qualification changes. Note that First Aid features heavily because of the updates to embed the re-coded first aid units into many qualifications: Manufacturing(104), First Aid(62), Resources(50), Safety(43), Business(27), Equipment(15), Logistics(14), Building(13), Health(12), Power Transmission(11), Plumbing(10).
Regulator Restrictions
New restrictions were added as follows:
Full suspension:
22060 Hospitality Staff Assessment (Melbourne South East, Broad Scope)
Partial suspension:
31105 Pro Adventures RTO Pty Ltd (NSW Hunter and Lake Macquarie, Sport)
31215 One Step Further Pty Ltd (QLD Gold Coast, Broad Scope)
45503 Wakefield International College (Adelaide City and Inner Suburbs, Agriculture)
Funding changes
There was a massive increase in the funded providers this month (500 changes in total), presumably due to the uptake in new funding schemes to provide job retaining options following the end of JobKeeper in March. There are too many to list here. If you’re not already signed up for the new funding schemes, maybe your main competitors are! The full list can be found below.
