Partial suspension

Training component changes

Many packages had at least a few significant changes.

Qualification Changes
There was a focus on business and real estate. Note that the numbers indicate how many units were shuffled around within the qualifications (and how often) and not just the number of unique qualifications impacted. These figures provide an indication of the level of activity. Business (171), Real Estate (74), Welfare (41), Technology (31), Building (26)

Skill Sets
There was a focus on aviation skill sets, and (again) real estate: Aviation Operations (12), Real Estate (6).

Accredited Courses
There was a continuing focus on employment-focused courses: Foundation Skills (32), Building (18), Technology (17), Welfare (15), Health (14), Training (13), Community Services (12), Language (10).

Unit Content
There was a focus on real estate and first aid units. As usual, the inclusion of counts for units moving in and out of qualifications means that unit change volumes follow the qualification changes. It is likely that the first aid changes represent many qualifications being up dated to refer to the recently changed first aid units and not changes to the actual units: Real Estate (82), First Aid (75), Safety (28), Resources (19), Business (17), Civil Construction (17), Community Services (16).

Funding changes

This month, we saw the continuing tail of the surge in the funded providers last month, with 113 more providers added (on top of 200 added in April and 500 in March). Again, this has been due to the uptake in new funding schemes to provide job retaining options following the end of JobKeeper. There are too many to list here. If you’re not already signed up for the new funding schemes, maybe your main competitors are! The full list can be found below.
