Restrictions
Tracking regulatory decisions has become more difficult lately with the retention of history on TGA and the interface. This gives us more information but it is less coherent and each case has to be analysed individually to understand the decision and applicable dates, the AAT review process, and the resulting current status. In the interest of fairness, we will endeavor to paint any RTO mentioned in the least negative light we can given the information available. Rather than a definitive list, please treat this content as a selection of news items which may be of interest.
There was only one restriction of note this month:
Registration Cancelled
45619 Heritage School of Business (Australian Capital Territory, Business) – Rejection of renewal application under review.
Training component changes
There was high number of changes to many packages this month.
Qualification Changes
There was a focus on Power Generation (439), Public Service (210) and Business (107) Qualification categories this month along with a smaller but not insignificant number of changes for Welfare (56), Aviation Operations(41) and Community Services (35).
Skill Sets
There were changes in Public Service (18) and Power Generation (12) groups.
Accredited Courses
There were changes in the following groups. Security (27), Sport (22), Training (22), Business (17), Welfare(13), Foundation Skills(11), Language(11) and Agriculture (10).
Unit Content
There were a significant number of changes in Safety (684), Building (654), Power Generation (502) and Public Service groups (353). There were also changes to First Aid Units (45).
Funding changes
Relatively quiet this month there were 5 new funding registrations (1 in NSW, 2 in WA and 2 in TAS) and 3 removals (2 in QLD and 1 in WA). Given the number of RTOs added to national funding scheme since JobMaker, this is a relatively small adjustment.
